During dinner, Mrs. Hereward was extremely angry about the stolen things. She accused Clem and Dr. Gowervine, suggesting that their rooms be searched, clearly believing that one of them was the thief. Clem seemed to suggest that the thief could have pretended to have been robbed to throw off suspicion, but Mrs. Hereward continued to get angrier. They did so without making themselves seem involved, much to the guests' delight, but Georgie mentioned Milo's investigation, and he decided to tell them. Meddy didn't want him to, but he'd already said he would, so Milo explained to the guests how he'd found the things, but been afraid they'd think he'd taken them.
